Anti-spam software provider Roaring Penguin says it has released CanIt version 4.0 yesterday. The enhancements offered in CanIt 4.0 are available through the complete CanIt antispam line including CanItSMB, CanItPRO and CanItDomainPRO.

David Skoll, president of Roaring Penguin said "this is the most sophisticated version of CanIt we have ever released. CanIt 4.0 offers some major changes that will make it more scalable at the high end which will be much appreciated by our ISP and Web hosting customers."

CanIt 4.0 offers major improvements, including new cluster-aware storage manager for storing quarantine information, automated database failover that eliminates a single point of failure and RESTbased API for automating CanIt actions.

This specific feature is particularly useful for provisioning new clients and integrating CanIt with the Plesk control panel.

Other features include improved reporting, such as per domain statistics with graphics, support for automatic updates of rulesets and Bayesian data, better documentation with all manuals are accessible via Web interface and support for provisioning via SWsoft's Plesk control panel.
