Rackspace Managed Hosting announces it has been ranked 16th on the
Top 50 Best Places to Work in Texas list by Texas Monthly.
The list is compiled by the Texas State Council’s Association of
Business, and by The Society for Human Resource Management division.
Rackspace is reportedly the only managed hosting company to make the
list.
"We want to build a company where Rackers enjoy coming to work, are passionate about their jobs, and can develop their talents both professionally and personally," says Lanham Napier, president of Rackspace.
"This recognition as one of the best companies to work for in Texas shows us that we are achieving this vision."
Rackspace says it is known for creating a positive environment for its staff, which includes employee bonuses based upon customer loyalty, quarterly company-wide celebrations many internal awards and employee recognition programs.
The most company’s Straightjacket Award is presented quarterly to a deserving employee who achieves an unprecedented level of support for customers.
The company holds events each quarter to celebrate its growth, such as "Racker Battle of the Bands," "Rack Idol" and "Racktoberfest."
It also provides employees with free healthcare and ongoing training opportunities through its Rackspace University. Rackspace is currently hiring for multiple positions including sales, support and data center operations.
Also this week, Rackspace announced that it had seen significant new growth in 2005.
