AT&T announced yesterday that it would provide hosting services
to Australian broadband carrier UHS Systems. UHS Systems will house
its network servers in AT&T's data centers.
AT&T said the deployment
will act as a hub for UHS Systems's North American transport alarm
activity and enable it to roll out its new IP-based security alarm
transport service.
Through AT&T's video data processing capabilities, UHS Systems will be able to provide video monitoring and premise security surveillance to the security alarm industry.
"AT&T was the best choice for our hosting services. The company is among the most trusted names in telecommunications and provides the world-class security, reliability and redundancy we needed for our IP-based security alarm transport services," says Jack McCurdy, general manager of US operations for UHS Systems.
"Offering our premise IP security alarm transport services through AT&T's renowned IDC just made sense. With AT&T as our networking services provider, security alarm services are just the beginning of what UHS will be able to offer its customers."
