Web hosting company dotCanada just announced that it bought the customers and business assets of Michigan-based AffordableHOST.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

AffordableHost hosts more than 9,000 Web sites and operates a 1,700 square-foot data center facility. With the acquisition, dotCanada.com is now home to over 20,000 sites.

Richard Madison, president of dotCanada.com, says the acquisition improves the company's international operation. Prior to the acquisition, the company has served the Canadian market exclusively.

"Affordablehost.com is one of the most respected Web hosting businesses, with their seven year history of phenomenal uptime and customer support," says Madison.

The acquisition is dotCanada.com's second this year. The company acquired Resellernow.com in January.
