Sun Hosting, one of Canada's oldest and largest wholesale Web hosting provider (www.sunhosting.ca) announces today it has successfully launched a new 8,500-square-foot data center in Hoboken, NJ.

Located near the Datapipe building, these new and modern facilities feature direct fiber optic connectivity to six major Internet backbones, including AT&T, Time Warner, SBS, MCI, ICG and Williams.

The new Sun Hosting data center includes uninterruptible power supplies from multiple UPS systems, and two diesel generators, 24/7 'round the clock human surveillance, including a closed-circuit TV-camera system, and a state-of-the-art climate-control system for the best hosting environment technology has to offer.

"Our newer and largely expanded data center will help us become the leaders for next-generation shared and dedicated web hosting, and will maintain our promise of 99.99 percent uptime," says Mike Greenberg, senior technical manager at Sun Hosting.

"We narrowed our decision on the Hoboken, New Jersey location for its easy access to a large quantity of Tier One backbone providers, which will give us and our customers reliable bandwidth for continuous connectivity 24/7."

Sun Hosting's Hoboken data center represents the third one to be launched, since GCIS (the General Center for Internet Services Inc.) acquired the company on March 10, 2003.

Sun Hosting now has 3 modern data centers located in Kelowna, BC, Fort-Lauderdale, FL and now in Hoboken, NJ.

Additionally, a fourth data center in Pittsburgh, PA is in the final planning stages and should be completed in August 2004. In September, Sun Hosting will be launching a fifth data center in Dallas, TX.

Sun Hosting offers both the Linux, as well as the Windows operating system on all its hosting plans. All of its packages are offered at the wholesale level, and the company currently has more than 450 resellers located mostly in North-America, in many European countries and certain parts of Asia.
