Network security solution provider Enterasys Networks announced on Monday that it has appointed Jeffrey Gheraldi as vice president of sales for the Americas.

Gheraldi will report to Michael Rivers, executive vice president of worldwide sales and service, leading Enterasys’s direct sales efforts in the United States, Canada, and Central and Latin America.

"Jeff is the right person to lead our Americas direct sales organization as we work to expand business within our existing customer base and develop new opportunities," says Rivers.

"He has a proven track record in leading enterprise network sales organizations. As Enterasys brings our unique Secure Networks capabilities to market, Jeff will play a key sales leadership role, along with Jim Harold, our vice VP of Americas partner sales, and Bob Fortna, our VP of federal sales - two more networking industry veterans who recently joined the company.

Jeff understands what enterprise customers need and he motivates his sales team to deliver results."

Gheraldi most recently served as Nortel's global major account vice president, responsible for the AT&T business relationship. He also worked on the XO Communications account.
