Sun Microsystems' quarterly revenue rises 7 percent
Today, Sun Microsystems posted a quarterly profit versus a comparable loss for the same period in 2006, as revenue rose 7 percent, propelled by increased sales of its high-end servers. Overall, Sun said it had a fiscal second-quarter net profit of $126 million, or 3 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $223.0 million, or 7 cents per share in 2006.

ICANN is reconsidering the .xxx TLD domain
ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) announced yesterday that it is reconsidering a revised proposal from ICM Registry regarding the creation of a .xxx TLD (top-level domain). In May of last year, ICANN voted against ICM Registry's proposal for a .xxx TLD, but ICM has since responded with changes to the contract to address ICANN's original concerns on the issue.
